I started playing lacrosse in 4th grade for my father splitting time as a goalie and middie.  In high school I got the chance to play for Coach Chris Smalkais at Fairfield Prep in CT making it all the way to the State Championship my senior season.  After meeting with the head coach of United States Naval Academy, Coach Richie Meade, in my senior year of high school I decided I was headed off to Navy to play lacrosse and learn how to become a Military Officer.  My most memorable experience at Navy was my first start against North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004 where we not only won the game but my mother surprised me by showing up right before the start of the game.  Following college I’ve had the opportunity to play for the Baltimore Bayhawks, Los Angeles Riptide and Team STX for LXM Pro while serving as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.   My most memorable experience in the Pros was my 2007 season playing under General Manager G.W. Mix in Los Angeles with 5 players from the United States Naval Academy (Sean Donnelly, Mickey Jarboe, Mitch Hendler, Chris Pieczonka, and Graham Gill).

When reflecting on over 20 years of lacrosse I think my success has come down to several key factors.
1)  Playing different positions at a young age allowed me to see the field from different angles
2)  Allowing one of the all-time great college goalie coaches, Ray Finnegan, to completely change my style of play
3) Never allowing my teammates or opponents to outwork me
4) Playing with “No regrets every time I step on the field”
