Q. HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU STARTED PLAYING?

A. I was 6. We have always been an active family and I started playing with my mum in our back garden and absolutely loved it.

Q. WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE ATHLETE (ANY SPORT) GROWING UP?

A. My favourite athlete was Sally Gunnell who was a 400m Hurdler in the 1990's. I remember watching her race and win Gold at the 1992 Olympics and just loved seeing the joy she got from competing.

Q. WHAT WAS YOUR PLAY HUGE MOMENT IN YOUR CAREER?

A. I’d pick two. Firstly, wining a bronze medal at the World Cup in Argentina in 2010 and then of course winning Olympic Gold in Rio last year.

Q. WHAT SONG IS ALWAYS ON YOUR PREGAME PLAY LIST?

A. S Club 7 - "Reach"

A. Queen Elizabeth

Q. WHAT’S THE ONE THING YOU’D LIKE TO SEE CHANGED IN YOUR SPORT?

A. Not specifically my sport, but for women’s sport in general I’d like to see more media coverage.  Both newspaper and TV media is still dominated by men’s sports. 9 million people watched our Olympic Final in the UK, so clearly the audience is there!

Q. WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE TEAMMATE YOU’VE EVER PLAYED WITH?

A. Sarah Ellis, she is the current Clifton Robinsons Goalkeeper and played England Juniors and Development . We have played club hockey together for 16 years, she's the most fantastic keeper and my closest friend.

Q. WHO IS OR WAS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN HELPING YOU ON YOUR WAY TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE?

A. My Mum and Dad. They taught me always to work hard and be grateful of every opportunity that came my way. They drove me here, there, and everywhere as a kid and still come and support me after years of playing.

A. Fight, hard working, determined

Q. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PRE-GAME MEAL?

A. I’m a vegetarian, so a vegetable wrap with hummus and quorn.
