Why I Use STX

I truly believe STX has the best products. I grew up using their gear and have always loved their quality and innovation. My Dad used to rep their products and would go to lax camps during the summers to promote the brand so I guess you could say I am a second generationer.

Q&A

Q.  HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU STARTED PLAYING?

A. I was 5 years old when I started playing Lacrosse. My Dad used to bring to practice when he was coaching my brothers’ team. I was the ball boy. I was instantly hooked.

Q.  WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE ATHLETE (ANY SPORT) GROWING UP?

A. Michael Jordan. I admire his unrelenting athleticism, perseverance and leadership qualities.

Q.  WHAT WAS YOUR PLAY HUGE MOMENT IN YOUR CAREER?

A. Winning the State Championship for the third time during high school. I actually documented the entire season on my channel. It’s called the Ride Series and ironically, we ended up going all the way that year. I was really proud of my teammates. It was such a great moment.

Q.  WHAT SONG IS ALWAYS ON YOUR PREGAME PLAYLIST?

A. Gravity – John Mayer. I only listen to his music during Pregame because it’s calming. Most people like to get super pumped, but I find that more calming music keeps me focused.

Q.  WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?

A. Step Brothers

Q.  WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A YOUNGER VERSION OF YOURSELF?

A. Stop trying to make it to the NBA. Lol. Honestly, I hold myself to an extremely high standard and work very hard to accomplish my goals. There are a few minor things I might go back and change but overall, I am happy with the decisions I made up to this point.

Q.  WHO IS ONE PERSON YOU (PAST OR PRESENT) WITH WHOM YOU’D LIKE TO HAVE DINNER?

A.  Drake

Q.  WHAT’S THE ONE THING YOU’D LIKE TO SEE CHANGED IN YOUR SPORT?

A. Running Quarters

Q.  WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE TEAMMATE YOU’VE EVER PLAYED WITH?

A. One of my best friends Danny Maltz (Maryland Attack). He and I grew up playing lacrosse together. We tried to go to the same college, but it didn’t work out. It’s great playing with someone who understands and can predict your next move without even speaking. Whether it was an assist, or a goal Dan the Man was always there.

Q.  WHO IS OR WAS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN HELPING YOU ON YOUR WAY TO BECOMING A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE?

A. My dad. He was a four time All-American at The University of Virginia. Taught me the game growing up. He still gives me advice and guidance long distance now. I have a lot of respect for all his accolades and commitment to the game. He still holds a few records at UVA.

Q.  DESCRIBE YOUR PLAYING STYLE IN THREE WORDS.

A. Explosive, Coachable, Humble

Q.  WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE EXERCISE OR DRILL TO DO WHILE YOU’RE TRAINING AND WHY?

A. Wall Ball. A timeless lacrosse drill that is so basic but necessary for any lax player.

Q.  WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PRE-GAME MEAL?

A.  Pot belly ham, turkey, and cheese sub

Q.  TELL US YOUR FAVORITE MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE.

A. “Champions make different types of decisions” Eric “ET” Thomas. He recently visited our school. I was blown away by his speech. So personable and profound! I wrote one of his quotes on a piece of cardboard and hung is over my door in my room. I read it every day.

Q.  IF YOU COULD PLAY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?

A.  The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. It’s a historical stadium!
