Why I Use STX

I have been using STX for a large portion of my lacrosse career. I choose STX because the sticks and equipment are second to none and the STX brand it is and has been the standard in the lacrosse world, and I am excited to be a part of that tradition.


Q.  How old were you when you started playing?

A.  I got my first stick from my dad before I could walk or talk, I started playing in leagues when I was in 4th grade.

Q.  Who was your favorite athlete (any sport) growing up?

A.  Muhammad Ali

Q.  What was your Play Huge moment in your career?

A.  Winning the 2012 Division I National Championship. That moment in time was a celebration of all of the challenging moments of work and preparation throughout my life. I believe my next great Play Huge moment is still in front of me.

Q.  What song is always on your pregame playlist?

A.  Jubel - Kilingande

Q.  What’s your favorite movie?

A.  Troy

Q.  What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself?

A.  Trust yourself.

Q.  Who is one person you (past or present) with whom you’d like to have dinner?

A.  Paulo Coelho 

Q.  What’s the one thing you’d like to see changed in your sport?

A.  I would love to see the sport continue to grow in its diversity. More access for more people in more places is one positive change I hope to help support.

Q.  Who’s your favorite teammate you’ve ever played with?

A.  I am going to cop out and give you three. Will Manny, Joe Nardella and Josh Hawkins are three guys whose presence makes me a much better player.

Q.  Who is or was the most influential person in helping you on your way to becoming a professional athlete?

A.  My parents have been the most influential people in my journey.

Q.  Describe your playing style in three words.

A.  Do it all

Q.  What’s your favorite exercise or drill to do while you’re training and why?

A.  My favorite exercise is trail running; Conditioning, footwork, explosive work all wrapped up into a peaceful experience in nature.

Q.  What’s your favorite pre-game meal?

A.  Not a meal, but I love a Starbucks Ice coffee as I walk into the stadium on game day.

Q. Tell us your favorite motivational quote.

A.  Dream big, Focus small.

Q.  If you could play anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A.  I have been lucky enough to coach and play in over 15 countries so far. My goal is to play everywhere in the world before I am done!
