Why I Use STX

STX has the best gear in the game, whether it be the heads and shafts, or gloves and elbow pads, everything I have used from them I have loved instantly. Each year, it seems like the equipment from them keeps getting better and better. The athletes that are already involved at STX also had a major impact as to why I chose STX, because their character showed me that I want to be a part of this brand.

Q&A

Q.  HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU STARTED PLAYING?

A.  When I first started playing lacrosse, I was around three years old. I pretty much grew up with a stick in my hand, thanks to my dad, who played goalie at Penn State.

Q.  WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE ATHLETE (ANY SPORT) GROWING UP?

A.  Either Mikey Powell or Matt Danowski, pretty tough to choose between those two.

Q.  WHAT WAS YOUR PLAY HUGE MOMENT IN YOUR CAREER?

A.  My Play Huge moment in my career would have to be when I scored the record-breaking 207th goal against Hopkins in the quarterfinal to secure a trip to the Final Four for the first time in my career.

Q.  WHAT SONG IS ALWAYS ON YOUR PREGAME PLAYLIST?

A.  "Look Alive" by Drake has to be on just about all of my pregame playlists.

Q.  WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?

A.  The Town, I think I’ve seen it about 100 times.

Q.  WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A YOUNGER VERSION OF YOURSELF?

A.  It would be to practice my off-hand more, I believe it is easier to develop at an early age if you practice it right when you are starting.

Q.  WHO IS ONE PERSON (PAST OR PRESENT) WITH WHOM YOU’D LIKE TO HAVE DINNER?

A.  I think if I had the choice to go to dinner with any person, I would probably choose Tiger Woods, would love to pick his brain.

Q.  WHAT’S THE ONE THING YOU’D LIKE TO SEE CHANGED IN YOUR SPORT?

A.  The addition of a shot clock makes the game a lot more fun to watch since there is no stalling.

Q.  WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE TEAMMATE YOU’VE EVER PLAYED WITH?

A.  Jack Bruckner, I could throw it inside to him at any time and he would finish it.

Q.  WHO IS OR WAS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN HELPING YOU ON YOUR WAY TO BECOMING A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE?

A.  My parents, they taught me the value of hard work, which has made me become the player I am today.

Q.  DESCRIBE YOUR PLAYING STYLE IN THREE WORDS.

A.  Determined. Competitive. Improving.

Q.  WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE EXERCISE OR DRILL TO DO WHILE YOU’RE TRAINING AND WHY?

A.  Ladders are usually in my training regimen now, because I have seen results from my change of direction and separating from elite defensemen is not an easy thing to do in this league.

Q.  WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PRE-GAME MEAL?

A.  A few hours before a game, I like to have chicken, rice, and fruit. Right before maybe I will have a protein bar or some energy chews, nothing too heavy.

Q.  TELL US YOUR FAVORITE MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE.

A.  “You can’t have a million dollar dream with a minimum wage work ethic.” Stephen C. Hogan.

Q.  IF YOU COULD PLAY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?

A.  Koskinen Field (Duke University), no question.
