HOMETOWN: RIDGEWOOD, NJ

a Why I Use STX

I have used STX since I first tried lacrosse in 5th grade, whether I was playing in goal or low attack. My STX sticks gave me confidence in the new sport that set me up to play for many years to follow.

KAIT'S SETUP

Q&A

Q. HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU STARTED PLAYING?

A. 4th grade, but I didn't try goalie until 5th! For the next few years I would play half in net and the other half as an attacker. I chose to only play goalie in 8th grade when recruiting began.

Q. WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE ATHLETE (ANY SPORT) GROWING UP?

A. Kobe Bryant - I never played basketball, but Kobe was an admirable athlete to me for his mentality, discipline, and competitiveness.

Q. WHAT WAS YOUR PLAY HUGE MOMENT IN YOUR CAREER?

A. My first game in a USC uniform last spring was my play huge moment. I was beginning a new chapter of my college career and felt supported by all my teammates, coaches, family, and friends.

Q. WHAT SONG IS ALWAYS ON YOUR PREGAME PLAY LIST?

A. Anthings MIGOS is a pregrame must! My top 3 would be: Stir Fry, Bad and Boujee, Motorsport

Q. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?

A. Rocky Balboa (2006)

Q. WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A YOUNGER VERSION OF YOURSELF?

A. I keep this quote in my notes as a constant reminder: "Take a deep breath and remind yourself that you don't have to (and can't) be in control of everything. You don't have to have everything all figured out. You don't have to be on your A game at all times. Embrace the ebbs and flows of human experience."

Q. WHO IS ONE PERSON YOU (PAST OR PRESENT) WITH WHOM YOU’D LIKE TO HAVE DINNER?

A. Kobe Bryant

Q. WHAT’S THE ONE THING YOU’D LIKE TO SEE CHANGED IN YOUR SPORT?

A. Goalies in both the men's and women's game should be able to score!

Q. WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE TEAMMATE YOU’VE EVER PLAYED WITH?

A. Cassidy Weeks - I was lucky enough to have her as a teammate for my first 2.5 years at Boston College before transferring. Cass and I wouls spend hours at the field doing extra shooting. Her passion for lacrosse and drive to win was admirable and something that was instilled in me.

Q. WHO IS OR WAS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN HELPING YOU ON YOUR WAY TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE?

A. My younger sister, Lindsey Devir. She will be playing lacrosse at Stanford next fall and for years we have been training together to compete at the very highest level. I hope one day we have the opportunity to play on the same team!

Q. DESCRIBE YOUR PLAYING STYLE IN THREE WORDS.

A. Athletic, Confident, Powerful

Q. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE EXERCISE OR DRILL TO DO WHILE YOU’RE TRAINING AND WHY?

A. Anthing with a tennis ball! It is a great to use them to focus on hand eye coordination, speed, and reactionary trainging. Before games, my goalie coach uses tennis balls to warm up my hand and feet to get them moving to each shot before we transition to lacrosse balls.

Q. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PRE-GAME MEAL?

A. Chicken Parmigiana is a go to the night before my game and protein oatmeal in the morning of game day!

Q. TELL US YOUR FAVORITE MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE.

A. "It ain't about how hard you're hit, it's about how you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward." - Rocky Balboa

Q. IF YOU COULD PLAY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?

A. Gillette Stadium! I am a huge Patriots fan and it would be surreal to play the sport I love in the same field as many players I have watched and looked up to my entire life. AKA the GOAT Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski!!!
